CliFi Activist Dan Bloom Introduces The Cliffies Awards For Climate-Themed Movies To Ultimate Spelling Readers, Announces eReflect

New York City, NY (PRWEB) October 30, 2014

CliFi activist Dan Bloom recently announced the official establishment of the “Cliffies” movies awards. The Cli-Fi movie award nominations will be announced in early 2015. The Cliffies will honor and celebrate any environment-themed movie and will choose the most exceptional ones that focus on Cli-Fi. The Cliffies aspire to become an annual convention that will celebrate and award both big and indie climate-related movies. As Dan Bloom discusses in his guest blog on the Ultimate Spelling™ website, people can no longer ignore the Climapocalypse, and the Cliffies offer a pedestal for voicing climate concerns through cultural and creative expression.

The niche festival on Cli-Fi based movies accepts movie nominations, and the process will be completed by the end of 2014. eReflect, designer of learn to spell software Ultimate Spelling™, finds the “Cliffies” a worthwhile initiative that will hopefully become a convention, and also help raise awareness on climate change and its consequences for humankind.

Embracing such initiatives like the Cliffies could substantially promote public awareness and increase sensitivity on the subject matter, as well as urge communities and individuals to take action toward protecting the environment and reversing climate change.

eReflect, who provides spelling help through Ultimate Spellingâ„¢, one of the best spelling programs, says that although the future cannot be predicted, the company is confident the movie awards program will be the springboard for rigorous climate change dialogue at a more formal level.

The world is preoccupied with many social issues, including wars, economic crises, and epidemics, but people often don’t realize that every major social issue affects the environment in one way or another. A natural disaster doesn’t just affect people, it also shows a disharmony in nature. The Cliffies will assertively make a case for how imperative it is that climate change be taken seriously, eReflect believes. Climate change needs collective, coordinated action to be reversed, and “The Cliffies” might hold the key to this.

“Mirror, Mirror,“ First Romance Novel of “The Fat Fairy Tales” Trilogy by Katherine Noll, Debuts about a Plus-Size Woman Finding Love & Renewal

“Mirror, Mirror,” about a plus-sized woman, is first novel of author Katherine Noll’s “The Fat Fairy Tales” trilogy, at select bookstores, Amazon.com and Kindle.com.

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 27, 2014

“Mirror, Mirror,” a scintillatingly riveting romance novel about a plus-sized woman’s struggle to build self-esteem, find love and elude mobsters, hits book stores and online outlets this November as the first work of author Katherine Noll’s “The Fat Fairy Tales” trilogy, announced publisher Red Sky Presents.

“I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life,” said author Noll. “As a child, it left me feeling like I could not have the prince or the fairy tale. That world was for someone else, not me. As an adult, I’ve come to realize that the greatest happily ever after anyone can have is self-love. This inspired me to rewrite classic fairy tales to include women like me and share these feelings in a way that is entertaining, fun, exciting and thought provoking. By writing this series, I was able to finally express the fairy tale within myself. My greatest hope is that readers of ‘The Fat Fairy Tales’ will be inspired to do the same.”

Kirkus Reviews, the nation’s leading prepublications journal of book reviews, wrote that Katherine Noll’s “Mirror, Mirror” is: “A feel-good fairy tale about a full-figured woman pursuing her dreams… An easy, escapist fantasy tied up with a happy ending.” The magazine, published twice a month and online at http://www.kirkusreviews.com, added, “Noll conscientiously creates a heroine with an innocent heart and a painful past. Noll transports a classic fairy tale into the modern world with a spirit of optimism.”

About “MIRROR, MIRROR”
Set in modern day fairy tale format, “Mirror, Mirror” is about a full-figured protagonist named Neve Bianca (Italian for Snow White), and is inspired by the famed Grimms’ fairy tale, Snow White.

The first book of “The Fat Fairy Tales” trilogy, the fast-paced and exciting “Mirror, Mirror” follows the adventures of 24-year-old Neve, who must mature fast, overcome a lifetime of bullying about her weight and accept herself in order to find romance, adventure and resolution.

As the plot unfolds, Neve learns that vain, greedy and wicked stepmother Vania has taken time away from admiring herself in an ever-present mirror to plot against Neve’s father, teaming with gangsters to fleece her husband’s company, “Buildings By Bianca.” Then, tensions mount as Neve becomes the target of a mob hit.

On the run, she hides in plain sight and overcomes her shyness about her size, uses her voluptuous figure to her advantage, and becomes the featured exotic dancer in a burlesque show on a traveling music festival. Naturally talented, her sizzling dances become a hit and cause increased attention as a ruthless gossip website obtains a private photo, revealing her “au natural” with a headline reading, “Busty Burlesque Bombshell Storms the Country.” But when the mobsters discover the photo, Neve’s life is in danger once more.

As her adventures unfold, Neve meets many new friends who also faced difficulties of public acceptance. Her big-hearted new best friend, Lindsey, is a little person who plays an elf in a rock show and who has endured prejudice about her size. She also befriends lovable Doc, who is miscast as the devil in the show. Ultimately, Neve recognizes the “princess” within herself as she finds her own Prince Charming in Taye Beck, the lead singer of the music festival’s headline act.

In this compelling and exciting romance-adventure, Noll’s Neve Bianca evolves from shy and reserved to outgoing and confident as she gains self-esteem, finds love and invigorates her life.

“Mirror, Mirror” is presented in the Romance book section of Red Sky Presents’ website, RedSkyPresents.com. The romantic, exciting and fun 177-page paperback debuts in November at a suggested retail price of $ 9.99 at select bookstores and online at Amazon.com, and at $ 3.99 for the digital version at Kindle.com.

In addition to “Mirror, Mirror,” which is based on a modern day Snow White tale, Noll’s “The Fat Fairy Tales” trilogy will also include upcoming books based on modern day versions of two other famed fairy tales, The Little Mermaid and Cinderella.

An award-winning author, Noll has written more than 50 books for the children’s market.

“In her ‘Fat Fairy Tales’ trilogy, which is aimed at women of all ages, Katherine Noll combines her storytelling expertise with her own experiences struggling with her weight to tell a spellbinding story that will ring true with women worldwide,” said Micky Hyman, co-founder of Red Sky Presents.

Columbus, OH (PRWEB) October 28, 2014

Lake Shore Cryotronics, a leading innovator in solutions for measurement over a wide range of temperature and magnetic field conditions, announced today that it will be discussing its line of advanced electromagnet-based magnetometer systems at the upcoming 59th Magnetism and Magnetic Materials (MMM) Conference, Nov. 3â€"7 in Honolulu, HI.

At the MMM exhibit, Lake Shore will highlight how these systems are used to characterize the magnetic properties of magnetic thin films, nanomagnetic composites and arrays, magnetic multi-layers and heterostructures for spintronics, diluted magnetic semiconductors, rare-earth permanent magnet materials and geomagnetic samples over a range of temperatures (4.2 K to 1273 K) and fields to 3.1 T.

The systems include MicroMagâ„¢ vibrating sample magnetometers (VSMs) and alternating gradient magnetometers (AGMs), which are the standard for first-order-reversal-curve (FORC) measurements that allow for studies of irreversible magnetic processes and interactions in magnetic materials.

Also at MMM, Dr. Cosmin Radu, Lake Shore Applications Scientist, will host a poster presentation on the effect of magnesium (Mg) ion substitution on microstructure and magnetic properties of nickel cadmium (NiCd) ferrite nanoparticles (Session HV-11). Based on an article that Dr. Radu co-authored with Egyptian researchers Dr. Mohamed Eltabey and Dr. Ahmed Massoud, the presentation will examine the magnetic properties of Mg-substituted NiCd nanostructured ferrites, which are important for microwave and electronic device applications.

For this research, a high-sensitivity Lake Shore 7400 Series VSM with liquid helium (LHe) cryostat was used to make zero-field-cooled/field-cooled (ZFC/FC) measurements to determine blocking temperature (TB) for the ferrite nanoparticle samples. Dr. Radu will be available at Lake Shore’s MMM booth to answer questions about this research and other applications for Lake Shore VSM/AGM systems.

Also at the MMM Conference exhibit, Lake Shore will discuss its:

United Sovereignty Alliance Issues Call for Citizen’s Constitutional Referendum Vote to Reaffirm American’s Constitutional Rights of Religious Freedoms and Values

Sioux Falls South Dakota (PRWEB) October 26, 2014

Burton F. Hill, founder of United Sovereignty Alliance, is calling for a citizen’s constitutional referendum vote via the 10th Amendment of the Constitution. Hill says he believes many of the abuses by the King of England which the founding fathers penned in the Declaration of Independence are happening this very day in the United States, and these abuses need to be stopped.

“The United Sovereignty Alliance was incorporated by myself a few years ago as an alternative to politics and it is the only entity calling for a citizen’s constitutional referendum vote,” says Hill. “Our focus is to set aside politics and aim at an action which has never been attempted in the history of our Republic; we aim to use the 10th Amendment to reaffirm our 1st Amendment rights as well as invite the public to vote on specific amendments to the Constitution and government reforms.”

Many in the political arena including political pundits such as Mark Levin and Mike Huckabe appear to promote an Article 5 convention. An Article 5 convention is still a political tool; although constitutional it does not represent the voice or vote of the people.

“My partner and I meet once a month to go over current events and how to deal with them through our agenda. Both of us are truck drivers and have very limited time and funds to not only have an office but also promote our agenda. We both rely on our faith in God to continue this mission of returning God to the forefront of our Republic,” states Hill. “Some say we at United Sovereignty Alliance are politically motivated, but we are not. We simply believe in the rights of the American people to be governed competently and fairly. All of the items on our website promote the 1st Amendment rights of the people, and prayer has been a great help in getting the language right.”

“American’s 1st Amendment rights are at the forefront of our website, http://unitedsovereigntyalliance.org. The 1st Amendment rights, that ‘Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances,’ are the cornerstone of the Constitution and without them our nation is lost,” says Hill.

“Religion is somewhat a state of mind,” says Hill. “Shepherd's [ministers] mostly follow the word of God as it is written. It is up to the members of the flock [congregation] to accept and follow God's word. Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with the one who was crucified for all our sins Jesus Christ.”

Government sponsorship of the persecution of religious beliefs and values is a violation of the 1st Amendment, which reads that the government shall not infringe on the rights of freedom of religion.

At http://unitedsovereigntyalliance.org the United Sovereignty Alliance endorses a new movie based on these words of President Ronald Reagan: "We are never more than one generation away from the extinction of our beliefs and values." The trailer for the film can be seen at http://onegenerationawaymovie.com/.

A recent editorial by Ted Cruz in USA Today published October 19, 2014, listed 10 items which the Republicans must do to make Americans confident again, yet none of those points concern the Religious freedoms of beliefs and values deemed necessary by most Americans.

President George Washington said in his farewell address of political parties, “It serves always to distract the Public Councils, and enfeeble the Public Administration. It agitates the Community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms; kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which find a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.” His words are coming very true 220 years later.

Abraham Lincoln said, "We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution."

Politics nor politicians are the answer to what ails this country, they are what endanger it.

“The 10 Commandment are inscribed into the steps leading up to the United States Supreme Court,” says Hill, “unless they have been removed, since no American is allowed to use those steps anymore.”
