DiabetesSisters Showcases Radio Talk Show Host Mother Love at Weekend for Women Conference in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 18, 2014

A positive outlook on life can go far in helping to manage stress and improve your health. This year, at the Weekend for Women Conference in Los Angeles, California, DiabetesSisters is happy to announce that adored LA radio talk show host Mother Love will be speaking on embracing happiness and beating depression when living with diabetes.

The always-funny Jo Anne Hart, aka Mother Love, has appeared in television and film, and is best known for her widely acclaimed talk show on LATalkRadio.com, which airs weekdays from 2-4 pm. Mother Love has written three books, including the 2006 “Half the Mother Twice the Love,” about her journey from an unhealthy past to a healthy new beginning. Her vivacious spirit makes her an energetic activist in support of women living with diabetes, and she has done hundreds of radio interviews on behalf of the American Diabetes Association. Mother Love believes strongly in encouraging women to make their own PHDs, or Personal Health Decisions, which she has personal experience with, as a woman living with diabetes who has lost over 100 pounds. Using a mix of motivational techniques and humor, she has inspired other women to take an active role in their disease management, and has become a smiling face behind the disease.

The conference, which begins at 3 pm on Friday, October 24th, and continues for a full day on Saturday, October 25th, features educational sessions from leaders in the field of diabetes management, health and nutrition, exercise, and emotional wellbeing. The conference will also highlight experts in the field of technology and tools, designed to help participants better understand and control their own diabetes. Mother Love will speak regarding “8 tips to Beat Down Depression” between 8:45 â€" 10:00 am on Saturday, October 25th.

Conference registration is $ 125 per person until October 10th, and $ 150 after that date. Attendees may attend sessions throughout the two-day period on topics including: parenting, pregnancy, technology, exercise, diabetes diet trends, and much more. Participants will also enjoy opportunities to meet and mingle with conference speakers and fellow participants, as well as engage in conversation via social media.

DiabetesSisters Founder Brandy Barnes will be speaking on Mother Love’s radio talk show on October 6th at 3 pm PST/6 pm EST. Tune into LATalkRadio.com to learn more about the conference.
