Announcement: GuitarControl.com releases â5 Basic Pentatonic Patterns - Guitar Lesson on Pentatonic Scaleâ
(PRWEB) October 25, 2014
âToday we are talking about the pentatonic scale and using it for soloingâ, says Johnson. Claude teaches this lesson in the key of B using the first position of the minor pentatonic scale starting on the 7th fret of the 6th string with first finger to the 10th fret with 4th finger to the 7th fret of the 5th string with first finger to the 9th fret with 3rd finger and repeats this for the 4th and 3rd strings and then the sequence for the 6th string and the 2nd and first strings. âGenerally the further up the neck you move the easier it isâ, says Johnson, âthe lower you are the wider the stretch for you fingers it isâ. Claude continues this easy lead guitar lesson by playing the scale pattern with some of the essential techniques of lead guitar. The techniques that Claude demonstrates are; bending, sliding, alternate picking and vibrato. Johnson demonstrates an alternate picking exercise by ascending the scale pattern from the lowest note to the highest note, counted as 1/8th notes and then descends the same sequence. Guitar TABâs are available for this easy beginner lead guitar lesson at GuitarControl.com.
A Pentatonic Scale is a musical scale with five notes per octave and is very common and found all over the world.
