Mezrich says that Brett Ratner initially gave him the idea for his new book, Seven Wonders. Mezrich says, "I was on the phone with Brett Ratner and he asked if I knew anything about the Seven Wonders of the World 'because if you did, we could make a really cool movie.'"
On Fox producing the movie version:
Mezrich says that Seven Wonders has been sold to Fox and the decision is up to them, but the goal is to shoot in each of the Seven Wonders of the world. He says, "It would be a great big budget movie. That's the goal. That's Brett Ratner's goal."
On the screenplay and casting:
Mezrich says, "The screenplay is almost done, so then we'll start thinking about who would play Jack Grady."
