Diversified Machine Systems to Host Tours on National Manufacturing Day

Colorado Springs-based Diversified Machine Systems (DMS), will be offering tours of their world headquarters on National Manufacturing Day, Friday, October 3rd from 9:00am-11:00am. Divided into two one-hour sessions, this opportunity to get an inside look at CNC router production is open to the public at 1068 Elkton Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80907, for those who register in advance at MFGDay.com.
In 2012, National Manufacturing Day was established to increase the general public’s awareness about careers in manufacturing, while spreading knowledge and information about the industry. An annual initiative designed to bring attention to this growing sector, National Manufacturing Day showcases participating companies in 48 states. Manufacturers team up with other companies within their region to connect with students and professionals in their respective communities.
DMS supported National Manufacturing Day last year, engaging in the Pikes Peak Community College Manufacturing Forum, their Student Manufacturing Awareness and Career Expo, and the Pikes Peak Workforce Center’s Job Fair/Hiring Event.
This year, DMS is getting even more involved both for National Manufacturing Day and National Manufacturing Week by hosting manufacturing floor tours, sponsoring and exhibiting at the inaugural SOCOM Expo, helping sponsor the screening of American Made Movie, and promoting the Manufacturing Forums at Pikes Peak Community College.
