Fandango's "Scare-Off" Contest Gives Fans the Chance to Appear in an Upcoming Blumhouse Movie by Reimagining Their Favorite Fright Film Moments in Instagram Videos

The creator of the winning video submission will receive a walk-on role (or lay-down roleâ"as a corpse!) in an upcoming film from horror master Jason Blumâs Blumhouse Productions, the production company behind âParanormal Activity,â âInsidious,â âSinister,â âThe Purgeâ and Universalâs supernatural thriller, âOuija,â in theaters on October 24.
Fandangoâs âScare-Offâ contest invites fans to create an original video inspired by a favorite horror movie moment, and then submit it via a video upload on Instagram with the hashtag #FandangoScareContest. The contest runs through October 27, and the winner will be selected by Fandango judges, along with producer Jason Blum and the cast of âOuija.â Entries will be judged on originality, creativity and relevance to the theme.
The grand prize winner will be announced on October 31 and receive hotel and travel accommodations for two to the filming location of an upcoming Blumhouse movie.
