Local Company Supports the Wilson County Community Help Center While Helping Job Seekers Get Back to Work
LEBANON, Tenn. (PRWEB) October 13, 2014
Staff Management | SMX today announced that for every person who attends one of their upcoming hiring events, the company will donate $ 1 to the Wilson County Community Help Center (WCCHC) in Lebanon. To support this effort, two special events are planned. The first is a two-day job fair at The Mill at Lebanon and the second is a Family Fun Hiring Night geared toward working parents. Family Fun Hiring Night will help job seekers find work while their children play.
âI want to thank Staff Management | SMX for making this possible,â said WCCHC Executive Director Ben Spicer. âThis donation will go directly to our food pantry so we can purchase what is needed for food boxes and supplement items we don't receive in non-perishable food donations. Please share this good newsâ"together we can get people back to work and help our community members in need.â
Each event benefiting WCCHC will allow candidates to speak with local team members and go through the entire application process, including interviews and orientation. This is an opportunity for job seekers to get hired on the spot while showing support for a great community organization.
The Mill at Lebanon Job Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13, and Tuesday, Oct. 14. The Mill at Lebanon is located at 300 N. Maple St. in Lebanon. The second event, Family Fun Hiring Night, will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 237 W. Northfield Blvd., Suite 104, in Murfreesboro. Family Fun Hiring Night will allow parents and guardians to complete the hiring process while their kids eat popcorn, play games and watch movies.
âWeâre happy that we could get creative with our hiring events to support a great organization like WCCHC,â said Staff Management | SMX Executive Director of Operations Myra Wilson. âHelping people get back to work quickly benefits the entire community. We encourage you to share information about these events with someone you knowâ"many applicants will even leave with a start date for their new job.â
WCCHC provides emergency assistance to Wilson County residents in need of food, clothing, resource education and financial aid. Last year, in Wilson County alone, WCCHC distributed 30,000 pounds of food to the hungry and provided more than 1,000 winter coats to those in need. Recently, increased demand and decreased funding has challenged WCCHC in keeping these much-needed programs alive.
