Pawtucket, Rhode Island (PRWEB) October 14, 2014

Rhode Island Medical Imaging (RIMI) has announced that a new 3T MRI, the latest generation of MRI technology, is now available at their Pawtucket location in the Blackstone Valley Medical Building, 333 School Street.

RIMI is the state’s largest private diagnostic radiology practice, now offering access to three out-patient 3 Tesla MRI’s in Rhode Island. Two additional 3T MRI’s are located at RIMI’s East Greenwich and East Providence locations.

3T MRI scanners provide a more spacious opening for optimal patient comfort, especially for claustrophobic patients. Most 3T exams have shorter scanning times as compared to other MRI machines, especially “open” scanners. The video entertainment center and DVD library, featuring iPod, iPhone and MP3 compatibility, allows patients to relax, watch a movie, or enjoy music during their exam.

The Pawtucket location also includes a new 16 slice CT scanner in the newly renovated MR/CT suite. This improved diagnostic imaging center provides patients in Northern Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts with the latest in MRI technology at a convenient location.

“RIMI is pleased to offer this enhanced technology at our Pawtucket location to serve the people of northern Rhode Island. We are dedicated to the welfare of our patients by ensuring they receive the highest quality imaging, in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere,” said Dr. John Pezzullo, president of Rhode Island Medical Imaging.
