United Sovereignty Alliance Issues Call for Citizenâs Constitutional Referendum Vote to Reaffirm Americanâs Constitutional Rights of Religious Freedoms and Values
Sioux Falls South Dakota (PRWEB) October 26, 2014
Burton F. Hill, founder of United Sovereignty Alliance, is calling for a citizenâs constitutional referendum vote via the 10th Amendment of the Constitution. Hill says he believes many of the abuses by the King of England which the founding fathers penned in the Declaration of Independence are happening this very day in the United States, and these abuses need to be stopped.
âThe United Sovereignty Alliance was incorporated by myself a few years ago as an alternative to politics and it is the only entity calling for a citizenâs constitutional referendum vote,â says Hill. âOur focus is to set aside politics and aim at an action which has never been attempted in the history of our Republic; we aim to use the 10th Amendment to reaffirm our 1st Amendment rights as well as invite the public to vote on specific amendments to the Constitution and government reforms.â
Many in the political arena including political pundits such as Mark Levin and Mike Huckabe appear to promote an Article 5 convention. An Article 5 convention is still a political tool; although constitutional it does not represent the voice or vote of the people.
âMy partner and I meet once a month to go over current events and how to deal with them through our agenda. Both of us are truck drivers and have very limited time and funds to not only have an office but also promote our agenda. We both rely on our faith in God to continue this mission of returning God to the forefront of our Republic,â states Hill. âSome say we at United Sovereignty Alliance are politically motivated, but we are not. We simply believe in the rights of the American people to be governed competently and fairly. All of the items on our website promote the 1st Amendment rights of the people, and prayer has been a great help in getting the language right.â
âAmericanâs 1st Amendment rights are at the forefront of our website, http://unitedsovereigntyalliance.org. The 1st Amendment rights, that âCongress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances,â are the cornerstone of the Constitution and without them our nation is lost,â says Hill.
âReligion is somewhat a state of mind,â says Hill. âShepherd's [ministers] mostly follow the word of God as it is written. It is up to the members of the flock [congregation] to accept and follow God's word. Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with the one who was crucified for all our sins Jesus Christ.â
Government sponsorship of the persecution of religious beliefs and values is a violation of the 1st Amendment, which reads that the government shall not infringe on the rights of freedom of religion.
At http://unitedsovereigntyalliance.org the United Sovereignty Alliance endorses a new movie based on these words of President Ronald Reagan: "We are never more than one generation away from the extinction of our beliefs and values." The trailer for the film can be seen at http://onegenerationawaymovie.com/.
A recent editorial by Ted Cruz in USA Today published October 19, 2014, listed 10 items which the Republicans must do to make Americans confident again, yet none of those points concern the Religious freedoms of beliefs and values deemed necessary by most Americans.
President George Washington said in his farewell address of political parties, âIt serves always to distract the Public Councils, and enfeeble the Public Administration. It agitates the Community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms; kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which find a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.â His words are coming very true 220 years later.
Abraham Lincoln said, "We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution."
Politics nor politicians are the answer to what ails this country, they are what endanger it.
âThe 10 Commandment are inscribed into the steps leading up to the United States Supreme Court,â says Hill, âunless they have been removed, since no American is allowed to use those steps anymore.â
