Viral YouTube Sensation Marcel the Shell Embarks on New Adventures in Just Released Video and New Book Out Today
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 21, 2014
âMarcel the Shell with Shoes On, Threeâ has just been released, and this time our hero Marcel the Shell finds himself outside the house for the very first time. Says Marcel: âI like it when sometimes people get stuck in places and they start to tell secrets,â and goes on to reveal new insights about shrimp, where he wears deodorant, and sings a heartwarming song he learned at camp.
âMarcel the Shell with Shoes On,â the first short film about Marcel, created by Dean Fleischer-Camp and Jenny Slate in 2010, has now garnered over 23 million YouTube views, and their first picture book, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On: Things About Me, published in 2011, went on to become a New York Times bestseller.
With the video just released, Jenny and Dean are also sending Marcel on another big, new adventure⦠all the way across the apartment! Kids and adults alike will delight in Marcel's second illustrated adventure, MARCEL THE SHELL: THE MOST SURPRISED IâVE EVER BEEN, on-sale today (Razorbill October 21, 2014, $ 18.99; Hardcover).
Says Razorbill publisher, Ben Schrank: âThe least surprised Iâve ever been was when Marcel returned to steal our hearts again in this profound trip across space, time, and the living room.â
In MARCEL THE SHELL: THE MOST SURPRISED IâVE EVER BEEN Marcel the Shell with Shoes On is walking on the blanket when he is unexpectedly launched high into the air. Tumbling through space, the bird's-eye view offers our small friend not only a glimpse of the important things in life--his beloved Nana who sleeps in a fancy French bread, a stinky shoe, and a monstrous baby--but also a much bigger picture.
Marcel the Shell with Shoes On: Things About Me gave us a peek into who Marcel is in his everyday life. In MARCEL THE SHELL: THE MOST SURPRISED IâVE EVER BEEN, we get to see Marcel out of his comfort zone and off of his two shoed feet as he learns that sometimes the most wonderful discoveries are the ones we least expect.
