“As the San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival continues to reach audiences around the Bay Area and across the world, we are thrilled to be returning to the theater where our ocean odyssey began back in 2004, and we are excited to host our Opening Night Gala in such a historic and iconic Bay Area setting as the SF Maritime Museum,” said SFIOFF Executive Director Ana Blanco.

Nearly 50 films ranging from sharks to surfing, ocean conservation to deep-water exploration, island cultures to the cultural importance of the world’s marine resources will fill the 2015 SFIOFF program. Along with film screenings, the festival offers in-depth discussions with filmmakers and content experts, creating a unique and engaging platform to continue the dialogue inspired by the films. Additional highlights for the 12th annual SFIOFF include a special diving program and panel discussion, to complement the audience favorites of shark and surf film programs.
