Offer & Compromise Indiegogo Campaign

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 04, 2014

Bailee Madison (The Fosters, Trophy Wife, Bridge to Terabithia) has officially joined the cast of Offer & Compromise during the last week of it’s indiegogo campaign. Independent filmmakers Valerie Landsburg (Fame) and Tani Cohen (No Pay, Nudity) could not be more pleased with the addition of Miss Madison to the cast.

“Whenever you are casting young people, you always have to cast them close to when you shoot so they are still the right age for the role. I’ve had my eye on Bailee for the last year watching all her work as she grows as an artist. She is in the perfect time of her life to play Melissa Warner, straddling the line between kid and young woman in the middle of family crisis as daughter of Tom Cavanagh and Constance Zimmer,” said director Valerie Landsburg.

With rising anticipation of a new cult comedy in the making, Landsburg and Cohen have already secured a noteworthy cast including Tom Cavanagh (The Flash, Yogi Bear, Ed), Constance Zimmer (House of Cards, Entourage), Carol Kane (Gotham, Young Frankenstein, The Princess Bride), Frances Fisher (Unforgiven, Titanic), French Stewart (Mom, 3rd Rock From The Sun), Christopher McDonald (Happy Gilmore, Thelma & Louise, Quiz Show), Lee Meriwether (Catwoman), Haaz Sleiman (Nurse Jackie, The Visitor), and introduces musician/singer-songwriter Casey Abrams (American Idol) in his first acting role.

This is a universal story that centers around a man named Henry Warner (Tom Cavanagh) who has a wife (Constance Zimmer) who wants someone else's life, a teenage daughter who wants her own apartment (Bailee Madison), an 8-year-old daughter who wants to be Wayne Gretzky, a mother-in-law (Frances Fisher) who hates him and a five-year-old son who has yet to speak. After Henry’s boss (Haaz Sleiman) lets him go, he and his family make an unlikely connection with Travis Parker (Casey Abrams), a newbie at a debt collection agency who finds himself at odds with his colorful staff of lifers (Christopher McDonald, French Stewart, and Carol Kane). Ultimately, Travis and the Warner family's fates are tied together as they struggle to break free of debts, both financial and emotional.

“This is a movie that really needs to be made. It is a fantastic script and an honest story that addresses uncomfortable real-life issues in a way that people can digest. That’s why all of the cast are getting behind it,” explained Constance Zimmer from House of Cards and the upcoming A&E for Lifetime dramedy UnREAL.

The filmmakers are looking to raise at least $ 150,000 through Indiegogo by November 10th in order to supplement production and begin shooting in the early spring. Every supporter that contributes at least $ 5 will get a download of the movie. A few lucky supporters will get the opportunity to have private lunches with some actors, a private concert from Casey Abrams, and even a round of golf with Happy Gilmore’s “Shooter McGavin,” Christopher McDonald. All donations to the campaign are tax-deductible through a partnership with From the Heart Productions.
