BLACKSBURG, Va. (PRWEB) November 06, 2014

Author Carl Pfeiffer brings his extensive research and work in marine biology to the pages of his new undersea thriller, “The Aggressor Gene” (published by AuthorHouse).

When several marine research divers disappear from their vessel, the Okeanos Explorer, the Office of Research and Ocean Exploration calls Dr. Susan Miller, Memorial University’s most brilliant young doctor. Together with her post-doctoral trainee, Dr. Masami Matsumoto, the two launch an investigation to find out what happened to the divers.

Susan and Masami suspect a giant squid in the area attacked these and other divers in the region, but that’s not their only problem. The scientists on the research vessel have noticed an increase in seismic activity in the western Pacific area. The activity sends Susan and Masami around the globe to discover its cause and solve the problem.

Readers will journey along with Susan and Masami as they explore the deepest depths of the ocean and encounter myriad strange and fascinating creatures. Pfeiffer hopes to both educate and entertain his readers with his book.
