Newman-Dailey Destin Vacation Rentals Are Popular for Christmas and New Year's Celebrations
DESTIN, Fla. (PRWEB) November 26, 2014
A growing number of families have discovered the joys of celebrating the holidays in a Destin vacation rental along Floridaâs Emerald Coast. Newman-Dailey Resort Properties has been hosting families for Christmas and New Yearâs celebrations at the beach for nearly three decades. Guests have come to appreciate the spacious vacation homes and well-appointed condos, which provide a comfortable home away from home for the holidays. During the 2014 holiday season, coastal Christmas and New Yearâs Eve events are planned along the coast from Seaside to the Destin Harbor.
"We have families who have been celebrating the holidays with us for more than 20 years," said Jeanne Dailey, owner of Newman-Dailey Resort Properties. "It is an honor to be part of their holiday traditions and welcome these families year after year. Destin's unique location in the Florida Panhandle makes this a convenient gathering spot for families from throughout the Southeast and the Midwest.â
The month-long celebration continues through the New Year with activities, ranging from holiday boat parades and festive light shows to choir performances and fireworks. The coastâs very emerald Christmas kicks off on Dec. 6 as the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation presents âSounds of the Seasonâ, and on Dec. 12, Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra rings in the season with their annual âHoliday Popsâ concert. Also on Dec. 12, Sinfoniaâs Orchestral Holiday will feature the orchestra with the von Trapps, continuing another popular family tradition. On Dec. 14, the 28th Annual Destin Boat Parade is a beloved local tradition with families gathering at the Destin Harbor to watch the spectacular parade of boats decked out in holiday lights.
During the month of December, the Emerald Coast Theatre Company presents the timeless tale âA Dickens Christmasâ at both the Emerald Grand and Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. The Seaside Repertory Theatre brings laughter to the season with their performance of âEvery Christmas Story Ever Told.â At Grand Boulevard at Sandestin, the Festival of Trees allows guests to walk through a coastal wonderland of festive trees decorated by area non-profits.
Families can stay and ring in the New Year with one of a dozen outdoor parties and fireworks displays from Seaside to the Destin Harbor. At HarborWalk Village, the Fifth Annual Ball Drop will bring down a beach ball over the Harbor with bands performing on the main stage and fireworks at midnight. In Sandestin, the Baytowne Countdown kicks off at 7 p.m., featuring live music and a breathtaking fireworks show over the lagoon at midnight. Revelers can also enjoy Baytowne Countdown from the water, aboard the Solaris Yacht. With three decks, a five-course dinner, live entertainment and champagne toast at midnight with fireworks overhead, the Solaris is well-suited for ringing in the New Year. On Highway 30A, Countdown Seaside is a family-friendly celebration held on the grassy amphitheater in the charming town of Seaside, Fla. With live music by the Dirty Guvânahs, arts and crafts for kids and fireworks, itâs a celebration that has something for every member of the family .
As an added bonus, guests who book with Newman-Dailey receive a gift card good toward area activities, including tickets to The Track and free movie rentals.
