Ray Chevrolet in Fox Lake Launches Food Drive and Offers Exclusive Passes for Pre-Screening of Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 on Wednesday November 19th

Ray Chevrolet in Fox Lake has officially launched their 5th annual food drive to collect non-perishable food items for the Grant Township Food Pantry. Community members are encouraged to help those in need by bringing in non-perishable food and toiletry items to Ray Chevrolet all month long. The dealership is located at 39 N Route 12, Fox Lake IL 60020.

In coordination with the food drive, Ray Chevrolet has also rented out a room at the Fox Lake Movie Theater for an exclusive pre-release showing of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 to take place Wednesday November 19th at 7:00 pm. Customers who Visit Ray Chevrolet in the next two weeks and bring in 10 or more non-perishable food items for the drive will receive a pair of tickets the pre-release private screening of the highly anticipated film-- two days before the national release.

Tickets are limited and are available only while supplies last. A maximum of 4 tickets per customer will be given out.

“We are excited to be holding the food drive again this year to help those in need in our community,” said Ray Scarpelli, President at Ray Chevrolet. “Last year we donated an entire Silverado pickup truck full of food to Grant Township, and we hope to exceed that this year.”

All food items donated will go to the Grant Township food pantry. The following items are in high demand:

Pancake mix and syrup, peanut butter and jelly, Jell-O and pudding mix, chicken and dumplings, chili and sloppy joe, skillet dinners, canned meat, canned vegetables, soup: canned and dry, canned potatoes, canned yams, pork and beans, pasta and sauce, canned pasta, beef stew, canned fruit, packaged mashed potatoes, juice and drink mixes, dry beans and rice, crackers, cereal, ramen noodles, macaroni and cheese, canned tuna and salmon, cake and frosting mixes, snacks, condiments, coffee and tea, stuffing, pie fillings, crust mix, gravy, dish soap, toilet paper, Kleenex, and toiletries.

Located at 26725 W. Molidor Road, Ingleside, IL, 60041, the Grant Township Food Pantry services those in need by providing food and other essential non-perishable goods at no cost. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. however it is recommended to call the pantry at (847) 740-2233 to confirm hours before visiting.

Grant Township will supply emergency food for those residents who are in the need of assistance. Each family will receive non-perishable food according to their family size.
