Lisa Edelstein, Star of New Bravo Series, âThe Girlfriendsâ Guide to Divorceâ Joins Best Friends Animal Societyâs Save Them All Campaign
Los Angeles (PRWEB) December 08, 2014
Lisa Edelstein urges Americans to get the âextraordinary gift of gratitudeâ that comes from adopting a rescued pet as she joins national animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Societyâs campaign to end the killing of dogs and cats in our nationâs shelters.
Edelstein is perhaps best known for captivating audiences in the role of Dr. Lisa Cuddy who went toe to toe with the cantankerous Dr. House (Hugh Laurie) on the popular Fox series, âHouse M.D.â Her new series âGirlfriendsâ Guide to Divorceâ made its debut on Bravo on Dec. 2. From roles on series like âThe Good Wifeâ and âCastleâ and in movies such as âKeeping the Faith,â Edelstein is a perennial fan favorite.
Edelstein joins Danny Trejo, Carrie Ann Inaba, Denise Richards, Nils Lofgren, Josef Newgarden, Amanda Seyfried, Cecily Strong, Maggie Q, Elisabeth Rohm, Courtney Thorne-Smith and other luminaries participating in Best Friendsâ photo campaign featuring celebrities posed with their personal rescued dogs and/or cats in support of the Save Them All call to action.
âAll of my pets are rescues,â Edelstein said. âWhen you rescue your pet, there's an undeniable bond and their extraordinary gift of gratitude is one of unconditional love. Far too many beautiful and loving animals are dying in shelters, simply because they don't have homes. I encourage anyone thinking of buying a pet to instead please visit their local animal shelter or rescue organization. When you adopt, you're doing your part to Save Them All.â
According to national statistics, each day more than 9,000 dogs and cats die in the nationâs shelters. Best Friends has brought increased awareness to how people can get involved in the solution by adopting, and spaying/neutering their pets, donating, volunteering and sharing this message with their friends.
