Movie set harbors secrets in newest Folly Beach Mystery novel
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (PRWEB) December 04, 2014
Established author Bill Noelâs character Chris Landrum is back in the latest installment of the Folly Beach Mystery series, âFinal Cut: A Folly Beach Mysteryâ (published by iUniverse).
Chris is a retired executive who moves to Folly Beach to open a photo gallery and enjoy his retirement. Since he moved to Folly Beach, he has amassed a motley group of friends, including Charles Fowler, his sidekick; Larry LaMond, the local hardware store owner and former cat burglar; Dude Sloan, the aging hippie who owns the local surf shop; Country Cal, a washed-up country music singer; and Bob Howard, a grumpy, opinionated real estate agent.
In this new mystery novel, Chris learns nothing is as it seems when a movie production company comes to Folly Beach to film a scene that could result in his murder. He must outwit the scheming film producers with the help of his longtime friends. Charles, a self-appointed private detective, aids Chris in his investigation into the film troupeâs hidden motives. The two infiltrate the film crewâs entourage and ultimately suspect one of the actors of playing more than just the role of a killer in the upcoming movie.
Immersed in determining why the movie set is plagued with accidents, as well as dealing with their own personal issues, Chris and Charles become just as surprised as the community when a local fisherman reels in the one he wishes got away â" the corpse of one of the movieâs stars.
Will Chris and his sidekick unravel the murderous plans of the filmâs central actor? Or are he and his town doomed to be slaughtered under the limelight?
