2015 XBIZ Awards to Host the Stars of Adult Entertainment at L.A. Live

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 12, 2015

Adult film superstar and crossover sensation, James Deen, will host the 2015 XBIZ Awards, the sexiest red-carpet event of the year on Jan. 15 at JW Marriott’s cutting-edge venue at L.A. Live.

Deen will be the first male star to ever host the glitzy affair that is in its 13th year honoring the best of the best from the adult industry. Hosted by adult entertainment icon Jenna Jameson last January and covered by international media that included a front-page story in the Los Angeles Times, the XBIZ Awards has become the most prestigious symbol of adult industry success.

Deen is excited to emcee what’s bound to be one of the most talked about events of the year.

“To be honest, I'm nervous as hell about hosting the Awards, but I'm hoping to do a good job,” Deen said. “Between XBIZ and myself we will try to create the most entertaining Awards Show possible. I have no idea what I'm doing, but that alone should be pretty amusing for the audience... worst-case scenario it will be really, really funny.”

Deen is entering his 11th year as one of the top male performers in adult entertainment of all time, amassing more than 3,400 scenes and dozens of accolades along the way.

The 28-year-old native of Pasadena, Calif., was a winner of the XBIZ Male Performer of the Year award a record three times, including the past two years. He also has won XBIZ Crossover Star of the Year for two straight years for his ongoing roles in mainstream productions.

Deen's starring role in "The Canyons" film in 2013 placed him in the international spotlight. He played the leading character opposite Hollywood bad girl Lindsay Lohan in the movie that was directed by Paul Schrader ("Taxi Driver," "American Gigolo") and written by Brett Easton Ellis ("Less Than Zero," "American Psycho").

While "The Canyons" was his most talked-about mainstream crossover to date, it is only part of the unprecedented media attention he's received.

In what will go down as a historic run of publicity, Deen since 2012 has been profiled by GQ, Rolling Stone, Esquire UK, New York Observer, San Francisco Bay Guardian, Glamour, Buzzfeed and ABC's "Nightline," among numerous others. In October 2013, he was the subject of the iconic "20 Questions" interview in Playboy magazine.

He’ll preside over the star-studded gala that will crown winners in more than 160 categories across every segment of the adult industry as well as offer some special surprises.

The XBIZ Awards extravaganza will mark the climax of XBIZ 360, a one-of-a-kind event series dedicated to uncovering the future of the rapidly evolving adult industry. The event will occupy the entire property of the chic Andaz Hotel on Sunset Blvd., in the heart of West Hollywood, for three days of symposiums, product demonstrations, keynote presentations and exclusive special events.
