Announcement: GuitarControl.com Releases “Staccato Rhythm Playing For Guitar Soloing - Lead Guitar Lesson”

(PRWEB) December 19, 2014

In today’s video guitar lesson Claude Johnson demonstrates what he calls “staccato rhythm” and says that it is basically playing an 1/8th note and then resting for an 1/8th note. Claude performs some licks based out of the pentatonic scale to demonstrate the concept of this technique. The example that Johnson plays is very reminiscent of the playing style of Ace Frehley from the album KISS Alive II. Guitar TAB’s are available for this easy beginner guitar lesson at GuitarControl.com.

Staccato is an Italian musical term for "detached" and is a form of musical articulation. In modern notation it signifies a note of shortened duration, separated from the note that may follow by silence.

A Pentatonic Scale is a musical scale with five notes per octave and is very common and found all over the world.

Paul Daniel, aka Ace Frehley, is an American guitarist from The Bronx New York. Frehley is best known as the first lead guitarist and founding member for the rock band KISS. Ace performed with KISS from 1973 to 1982 and then again from 1996 to 2002. Ace was ranked number 14 on Guitar World Magazines list of Greatest Metal Guitarists of All Time.
