NEW YORK, NY, DECEMBER 31st, 2014 (PRWEB) January 01, 2015
When a woman gets pregnant, especially for the first time, her need for information and community can be acute. That is how filmmaker Christopher Henzeâs wife, Dominique Debroux, felt during her pregnancy with their daughter and it was difficult to find both information and community from the books and movies available. So Christopher conceived and directed 40 Weeks, the first documentary to follow a large number of different families through the week-by-week journey of pregnancy.
The mission of 40 Weeks is to provide information and a sense of community to pregnant women through entertainment, so they can have the healthiest pregnancies possible and know that they are not alone in their journey. In order to produce the movie and to continue itâs mission, Christopher and Dominique created the production company Big Belli LLC. On bigbelli.com a viewer will be able to both educate themselves and feel part of a community by watching pregnancy information in easily accessible filmed format while following the journeys to motherhood of an even greater variety of women.
The red carpet premiere will be held in your city on January 12th at 6pm in the Landmark Kendall. Which is located at 355 Binney St. Cambridge, MA 0213.
Newyorkfamily.com praises the intimacy the moms granted the filmmakers. âThat, perhaps, is the filmâs greatest gift,â they said. "There are many hard, difficult moments...But all of the women approach the incredible changes and challenges they are facing with strength and a sense of humor. In the end, the message is refreshing: no one has a perfect pregnancy.â
As it is a challenge to see films about womenâs power in theaters, Henze and Debroux have partnered with Gathr.us Theatrical On Demand® to distribute this documentary theatrically. This new approach that allows a filmâs possible audience to request screenings in their communities, is rapidly changing film distribution as well as allowing more women-centric movies to be seen in theaters.
40 Weeks invites audiences to find or sign up to host a post-premier screening in their area. Starting March 1st, 2015, 40 Weeks will also be available on DVD, or download through the website and iTunes. To learn more, please visit http://www.40weeksthemovie.com
