The Electronic Music Alliance Launches Its Own Music Label, EMA-Global
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 31, 2014
In January 2015, the Electronic Music Alliance (EMA) is launching its music label named EMA-Global. The EMA-Global music label was created by EMA members Julian Reyes of Keyframe-Entertainment and Myagi of Pop And Lock Records.
Initiated as a grassroots project by Janine Jordan, Ken Jordan (of The Crystal Method) and Monica Salazar, EMA is the country's largest not-for-profit organization network specifically serving the members of the dance music community. EMA organizes around issues important to the electronic dance music community such as health, safety, greening, and giving back to local communities.
The goal of the music label is to showcase the talents of emerging Electronic Music producers in the genres of Trance, Tech-House, Breaks, Downtempo, and Techno, as well as many others across the vast spectrum of sound. By pioneering the release of music donated by artists for charities and philanthropic causes, EMA-Global further exemplifies EMAâs dedication to giving back to the community. The contributing artists also âPlay it FWD" by giving back to the broader electronic music community through participating in volunteer activities or donating their time and talents to a charity fundraiser at least once a year. "'Play it FWD' is a great way for DJ's to give back to their own community. So many of the DJs I know have always been willing to help out great causes and now EMA has provided a perfect solution to do just that," states Ken Jordan. As Janine Jordan adds, âThe EMA-Global label will finally make our non-profit a global endeavor by allowing the music produce r members of our community the chance to participate in the Play it FWD initiative no matter where they are in the world.â
EMA-Global will be launching with two tracks; one by MetaTek titled "Kazurakus" and another by Derek Ryan titled "Flash FWD" with lyrics by Jiin Christou. MetaTek is a Progressive Dance music DJ based in San Francisco. MetaTek has performed alongside Christopher Lawrence, Carl Cox, and The Crystal Method, and has released music on labels such as Dichotic Recordings, Bootcamp Records, Drizzly Recordings, and Mizumo Music.
Derek Ryan is a San Francisco-based Progressive Trance music producer, composer, and songwriter. Derek Ryan tracks have been played by artists such as Markus Schulz, Kaeno, Giuseppe Ottaviani, M.I.K.E, Suzy Solar, Mike Koglin, Above & Beyond, Tempo Giusto, Imagâin, Steve Anderson and more.
