Timothy Brett Explores Mysteries of Ancient Egypt in novel
Winston Park, South Africa (PRWEB) January 05, 2015
Author Timothy Brett has long been fascinated with ancient Egyptian monuments and mythology. In his novel, âHearts in Stoneâ (published by AuthorHouse), he draws on nine years of research and travel to weave a timeless tale of good versus evil.
Set primarily in 18th Dynasty Egypt, âHearts in Stoneâ blends fact and fiction to tell the story of the struggles between Egyptian gods and ancient Hebrews. The book takes readers back to the dawn of creation, where 12 planetary energy beings are appointed to be guardians and guides for their corresponding planets.
The bookâs main narrator is Thoth, a son of divinity, master scribe, recorder, calculator and interpreter. Sent to Earth by his master to join the 12 planetary light beings, he is tasked with maintaining accurate records dating back to the beginning of mortal time. When the 12 beings fall from grace, itâs up to Thoth to provide an account of these fallen 12 who once walked among mortals on Earth.
An excerpt from âHearts in Stoneâ:
âBowing low to hide the triumph in his eyes, Ptahmose turned and left the room. His heart was pounding with the rush of adrenalin that surged through his veins. He had successfully achieved all that he had been instructed to do by the fallen light beings. The great Pharaoh had just unknowingly given up his power to Ptahmose, and Ptahmose dreamed of his rewards. He almost floated out of the palace, such was his euphoria. He was not to know just how short-lived his success would be.â
