The NPD Group, Inc., a global information company, has hired a team of senior leaders to build a portfolio of business solutions that address key marketing, sales, and strategic planning issues. The team includes: Robby Hart, head of Analytics and Modeling; Steve Thornberry, senior vice president-solutions consulting; and Jim Hirshfield, senior vice president-Solutions Architecture. All report to George Terhanian, group president and chief research and analytics officer.

As Head of Analytics & Modeling for NPD, Dr. Hart will oversee development and delivery of customized solutions combining marketing science innovation with actionable business and marketing guidance. Most recently, Dr. Hart was a Partner at Hall & Partners. Prior to that, he held leadership positions at Ipsos, OTX, and Harris Interactive and also worked on business analytics at the Home Shopping Network.

As lead Solutions Sales Consultant, Steve Thornberry will work closely with NPD clients across industries to assess opportunities, solve problems and drive growth. Before joining NPD, he held sales leadership roles at IRI and The Nielsen Company, matching technology and analytic solutions to business issues, specializing in consumer packaged goods. He also held business development roles at Catalina Marketing, ADVO, and Donnelley Marketing.

Jim Hirshfield, lead Solutions Architect, will focus on the development of syndicated solutions addressing specific business needs including marketing, sales, and strategic planning. He was previously head of U.S. Analytics at Hall & Partners.
