1-800-PetMeds® Seeks Pet TV Stars with Calling All Pets Sweepstakes and Contest

1-800-PetMeds®, America’s Largest Pet Pharmacy®, is hosting the Calling All Pets Sweepstakes and Contest(the “Promotion”) to find its next cat and dog TV commercial stars. The Promotion, which opened today, will be open to entries until May 12, 2015.

To enter, pet parents will visit the Promotion entry page at https://tv.1800petmeds.com, select either the cat or dog category, submit a photo of their pet, and write, in 100 words or less, why their pet is a star and should be on TV. Entrants may enter each category one time in a week period.

Each week for the six weeks of the Promotion, two cat and two dog winners will be randomly selected to continue on to the voting period. Each weekly winner will win a weekly prize pack, containing a 3-pack flea and tick preventative supply, a pet first aid kit and a $ 50 gift certificate for use at 1-800-PetMeds® (ARV $ 145 each). At the end of the six-week entry period, the 24 random weekly winners will be posted to the Promotion page for voting. Voting will be open from May 20, 2015 to June 3, 2015. There is a limit of one vote per 24-hour period per person.

The five cats and five dogs with the most votes at the end of the voting period will continue on to judging. A panel of judges will score the entries based on their appropriateness to the theme, their originality and creativity, and their clarity of expression. The cat and dog with the highest scores will be named grand prize winners and will be announced on or about June 12, 2015.

The grand prize winning pets will star in the next 1-800-PetMeds® commercial, to be filmed at each winners’ house, and their pet parents will win a Sony 55” LED 2160p Smart SD 4K Ultra HD TV (ARV $ 2,999.99 each).

There will also be a sweepstakes for an additional Sony 55” LED 2160p Smart SD 4K Ultra HD TV. All voting participants will be entered into the sweepstakes, and one random winner will be drawn and notified on or about June 5, 2015.
