METRIX Capital Group Invests in Video Game Publisher Little Orbit

A worldwide publisher and developer of casual entertainment products

Anaheim Hills, CA (PRWEB) October 17, 2012

METRIX Capital Group, LLC announced today an investment in Orange County, CA based Little Orbit, a worldwide video game publisher with a focus on licensed-based entertainment products. Little Orbit will utilize this additional capital as it prepares for the release of marquee titles, Monster High: Skultimate Roller Maze and Young Justice: Legacy.

METRIX Capital Group, a private equity firm also based in Orange County, CA, will provide strategic financial expertise to Little Orbit in addition to the capital it has invested as Little Orbit anticipates substantial growth in the near term.

Little Orbit is led by its Founder, President and CEO, Matthew Scott, who has assembled a highly experienced management team ready to bring some of today’s most popular brands and characters to video game consoles worldwide.

“Matt is a true visionary in this space. His model for creating, publishing and de-risking game development is unprecedented and easily scalable.” stated Jeff Brannon, Co-Founder and Managing Director of METRIX Capital Group. “We look forward to seeing Matt ring the opening bell on Wall Street within the next couple of years.”

“As more and more publishers focus on social games, Little Orbit has steadily built our niche within the retail game space,” said Matthew Scott. “Timing is everything, and our partnership with METRIX has enabled us to capitalize on some big opportunities.”

Monster High: Skultimate Roller Maze, slated for a November 13th release worldwide, features characters from the popular Mattel fashion doll line and web series in an obstacle filled racing game for the Nintendo DS and Wii platforms.

The next title due out from Little Orbit, Young Justice: Legacy, is expected in early 2013 and is a multiplayer action RPG video game based on the Young Justice TV Series that airs Saturday mornings on Cartoon Network. Young Justice: Legacy will be released for PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, and PC.
