Anniversaries mean the most when the people celebrating have a deep and abiding connection as was the case for the Welch Group’s Weymouth, MA Assisted Living Community, which recently celebrated 15 years of service, care, housing and hospitality. Many of the residents have lived at the Allerton House at Central Park residence for more than a decade and many of the staff have been loyal employees of Welch Healthcare & Retirement even longer. Said Allerton House at Central Park Executive Director and fourth-generation family member Paul Casale, Jr., “I want to thank our current and past staff for they are testament to what we do â€" caring for seniors.”

The community received a citation from Massachusetts Senator Robert Hedlund (R) of Weymouth and from the Office of Weymouth Mayor Sue Kay. Senator Hedlund said it was an honor to be part of the 15-year celebration, adding that “Welch Healthcare & Retirement Group has a significant presence in my district.” The Welch Group owns and manages the Weymouth Allerton House as well as four other assisted living communities along the South Shore. Michael Gallaghar, Director of Administrative Services for the Town of Weymouth, stood in for Mayor Kay, whose proclamation said that Allerton House at Central Park provided “the right balance between independence and care.”

Many partners from business, healthcare and the Welch Group’s other senior living communities and rehabilitation and nursing centers were on hand for the festivities.

Allerton House at Central Park, a 70-apartment-home rental community, is a vibrant residence offering three meals daily, social programs, special events and outings as well as a roster of fitness and wellness programs. Fascinating clubs, Wii Fitness programs, Concerts in the Courtyard and seasonally themed luncheons are just part of the ongoing social calendar at Allerton House. A full continuum of care is available for short-term rehabilitation and long-term care at Colonial Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Weymouth.
