David Scottâs âHelp Wantedâ Heads to 2014 PitchFest Events
Los Angeles (PRWEB) November 17, 2014
Characters Peter Dale and Darcy Garcia become involved in solving a group of cold-case homicides as their feelings for each other grow in the 2005 book by author David Scott titled âHelp Wantedâ (published by AuthorHouse).
This year, âHelp Wantedâ will travel to the annual PitchFest events in Las Vegas and Los Angeles for a chance at a film adaptation.
Mixing romance, mystery and intrigue, âHelp Wantedâ tells the story of two crime-solving protagonists who fall in love while pursuing a serial killer.
Darcy, a police analyst, and Peter, a sports writer, share a long commute to Los Angeles to meet their friends, the Laskys, for dinner; but the two are soon thrust into investigating a set of cold cases involving an elusive killer.
Can this unlikely pair catch the murderer before he disappears forever? Readers can find the answers to this and more in âHelp Wantedâ.
An excerpt from âHelp Wantedâ:
âPeter let Darcyâs commentary sink in. Darcy was certainly correct about his desire to be an investigative reporter. He liked the idea of the intrigue and mystery, the fame of being the one to speak to a Deep Throat and write about it in the next dayâs paper. (â¦) He enjoyed his job as a sports reporter and writer. However, the intrigue and mystery of athlete arrests and pending free agencies didnât pack the same punch they once did. There was something missing.â
