Reno, NV (PRWEB) November 25, 2014

The Reno Tahoe International Film Festival (RTIFF) has today announced the addition of The Scriptwriters Network as an integral, industry sponsor of the festival.

The Scriptwriters Network (SWN), an educational, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) Non-profit, is well known in the entertainment industry, consisting of dedicated screenwriters, show-runners, producers, directors, television/video game/comic book writers, novelists, actors, editors, agents, managers, professors, accountants and many others. The SWN serves its community by providing educational programming, enhancing awareness of the realities of the business, developing access and opportunity through alliances with industry professionals and furthering the cause of writing for the entertainment industry.

“Supporting film festivals like the Reno Tahoe International Film Festival allows Scriptwriters Network to continue to provide writers with not only educational opportunities, but also with opportunities to showcase their original works and support them as their industry careers flourish.” says Melessa Y. Sargent, President & CEO of Scriptwriters Network Foundation, Inc.

The SWN is offering free one-year memberships to the first, second, third place and best student screenplay winners of the RTIFF screenwriting competition. The SWN membership allows access through resource tools, monthly meetings, programs, contests, networking opportunities, special events and writer development programs. Most notably, the SWN hosts the Hollywood Outreach Program, the High Concept Screenplay Competition, the Television Outreach Program and the Pitch Boot Camp, all designed to prepare screenwriters for producing and presenting projects at the highest possible level.

“As a film producer, I am always actively seeking projects to consider and produce. Having founded this festival as a marketplace/sales effort, I immediately thought of The Scriptwriters Network due to its longstanding dedication to great writing and nurturing talent through proper industry education and access to its invaluable resources.” explains Chayah Masters, Founder/Executive Director of the Reno Tahoe International Film Festival.
