The Hermitage Club at Haystack Mountain, a full-service private ski club in Southern Vermont’s Deerfield Valley, prepares for the opening of ski season by launching a new pre-season membership program. The special offer provides new members with $ 4,000 to purchase new gear for the upcoming season or get credits toward membership fees for already purchased ski passes or club dues.

“We’re trying to remove all potential barriers for people contemplating membership in our Club,” said Dale Ribaudo, senior vice president of membership sales and services at The Hermitage Club. “If you need new equipment, we’ll pay for it. If you’ve already committed resources to ski passes or dues at another ski club, we’ll credit you those dollars.”

The Hermitage Club boasts a new 80,000 square clubhouse that will open fully the second week of December. The Club recently held a pre-opening gala event, with 3-time Grammy award winner Rob Thomas performing a private concert for 1,000 members and their guests. A similar event with a surprise musical guest is planned for December 13, 2014.

“Our members were thrilled with the Rob Thomas event,” said Jim Barnes, founder and president of The Hermitage Club. “With many other big-name, members-only events planned for the upcoming season in our beautiful new facility, there’s no better time to join.”

Amenities in the new clubhouse include multiple dining options, a full fitness area, spa, children’s center, bowling alley, 45-seat movie theater and a retail store. There is also an editing suite for GoPro helmet cams where skiers and boarders can edit footage they’ve recorded on runs and post it on social media. The club also has multiple options for accommodations â€" from The Hermitage Inn, a quintessential Vermont country inn with 15 luxurious rooms, to townhomes that accommodate up to 10 people.
