Montreal company Behaviour Interactive gains access to extensive mobile games catalogue
Montreal, Quebec, Canada (PRWEB) January 12, 2015
Behaviour Interactive, the largest independent video game development studio in Canada, is pleased to announce it has acquired an extensive mobile catalogue whose gaming brands have reached more than 50 million downloads. The transaction marks the official entry of Behaviour Interactive into the mobile game development and publishing market. In becoming a publisher, the Quebec company aims to diversify its activities and establish itself as a major player in this high-growth sector.
âOur objective is to become not only one of the largest mobile game studios in the world but also one of the industryâs leading publishers. It was therefore a natural next step to gain access to this pool of users, who will be vital to us during launches of the wide range of games we plan to publish in the coming years,â stated Rémi Racine, President and Executive Producer at Behaviour Interactive.
The catalogue of new mobile games for Behaviour Interactive includes such global successes as Tree World and active Zombie Farm-themed mobile games whose brands have exceeded over 50 million downloads. Pro Feel Golf, Home from Dreamworks, and more. The catalogue complements multiple other projects already under production at Behaviour, notably the mobile game for the new DreamWorks Animation film Home, slated for release in early 2015, as well as Pro Feel Golf, Behaviourâs first self-published game, which was recently released in Canada and Ireland and quickly became the most downloaded game in the Apple Storeâs sports category.
Adding a string to its bow | In diversifying its business to include mobile game publishing, Behaviour Interactive is increasing the many customized services it provides to major studios seeking to offer multiplatform games. In fact, some of the most popular games in recent years have been produced by the Montreal-based studio, including, for example Temple Run: Brave (Disney), Wipeout (Activision), Monster University (Disney), and Zoo Tycoon (Microsoft).
