Pitch Promotes Xanthe Wells to Chief Creative Officer; Adds Gage Clegg to Creative Team
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 31, 2014
Jon Banks, CEO of Pitch, today announced the promotion of Xanthe Wells from ECD to Chief Creative Officer and addition of Gage Clegg as Group Creative Director. Both joined the agency from TBWA\Chiat\Day LA. Wells, hired last year, was previously Executive Creative Director of Pitch and Clegg was previously GCD at TBWA\C\D. Previous CCO, Eric Springer, left last year for CCO post at Draftfcb LA.
âAs thrilled as we were to bring Xanthe on board last year, we couldnât even imagine just how much she would bring to our creative departmentâ"raw talent, grace under pressure, and an intuitive understanding of what it takes to make great, successful work,â said Banks. âPromoting her to Chief Creative Officer was an easy and obvious decision, plus we have the added pleasure of Gage joining our creative ranks. Weâre excited to watch these two thrive.â
As a boutique, full-service creative agency, Pitch has a deeply engrained entrepreneurial spirit. Their proficiency in leveraging pop culture trends into award winning campaigns, coupled with their broad offering of services, has attracted some of the nations most well-known brands to their roster from Burger King to Meineke, Asics, Living Spaces, Xbox, Nickelodeon, Universal Studios, NBC, and more.
Pitchâs new Chief Creative Officer, Wells, was integral to the success of their recent complete rebranding of Meineke Car Care, boasting the first ever appearance of YouTube sensation Kid President in the TV spots. Since she joined Pitch she has also ushered in the complete rebranding of Living Spaces and Maaco and helped the agency land the Burger King general market TV assignment this month.
Having joined the agency last year from TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles with an accomplished and enviable resume working with Pepsi, Kraft, PlayStation, Pinkberry, and ESPN among others, Wells now steps in to helm all of the agencyâs creative output.
As GCD at TBWA\Chiat\Day LA, Clegg spearheaded the past three Olympic campaigns for Visa, was instrumental in winning the Visa global business and produced Visa's first global brand campaign. Recognized by virtually every major awards show over the course of his career, he has worked on some of the most revered brands from Playstation to Pedigree, Anheuser Busch, Subaru, Honda, Pioneer, Apple and Las Vegas Tourism, among others. Clegg was also instrumental in NKLA (No Kill Los Angeles), an animal rescue effort created to turn LA into a no kill city.
