Boston Music Studio Creates A One-Of-A-Kind Opportunity to Learn Piano in Copley Square
Boston, Massachusetts (PRWEB) October 01, 2014
On Sunday October 5th, 2014 the people of Boston will have the opportunity to experience a new, original, and special way to explore the world of music at an event called âHandsâ. Alyssa OâToole owner of Musicianâs Playground (A popular piano and voice teaching music studio located in Boston) will offer local residents and Boston city workers the opportunity to learn and play piano for free in Copley Square between the hours of 1pm and 5pm EST. The event is intended to encourage and engage spontaneous interest of the public in music education.
An acoustic piano will be placed in Copley Square, Boston and available to be played by those who wish to participate in the event. Participants will be taught how to play a certain portion of a song, and then filmed as they perform it. In the end, a video entitled âHandsâ will capture the many different hands of the many different participants (young, old, big, little, etc.) coming together to make one song.
Alyssa OâToole, Founder & Director of Musiciansâ Playground, has committed her life for the past decade to helping others find a love for the music inside of them. She comments that, âsadly, and all too frequently, people are deprived of the benefits of making music because of preconceived or entirely false notions they have been subjected to.â Alyssa also states âThe truth is there is no such thing as a musician or non-musician, or too late or too early, or any amount of inadequacy or inexperience that can stop someone from feeling the happiness of making music as a human being.â
Her hope is that through this event, and others like it going forward, she can begin to forge these ideas - and person by person revitalize not only the future of music, but the state of humanity as well.
The event is open for individuals of all ages, skill levels, and experiences â" and will be especially catered for those who have little to no prior music education. At the event, participants will have an unprecedented opportunity to embrace learning music along with its many benefits, as well as contribute to what could be a national phenomenon.
